Mikan Zlatkovich is an American virtuoso jazz pianist with a distinguished career spanning decades. Born a musical prodigy in the former Yugoslavia, Mikan started his professional jazz career as a teenager, his immense talent quickly recognized by top musicians, audiences, and critics alike. Exposed to jazz early on by his father, a local jazz guitarist, Mikan pursued bigger musical challenges in the early ’90s, first in New York and later in San Diego. His broad repertoire spans the Great American Songbook, jazz and blues standards, classic ballads, pop, rhythm & blues, funk, Bossa Nova, and Samba classics. No two performances are ever the same, as Mikan’s music continues to evolve through his ongoing search for new creative possibilities. His musical chemistry and remarkable skill invite audiences into a memorable jazz experience, rooted in his belief that music has the power to transcend language, race, and culture, bringing people together to share in its magic.
