DESCRIPTION:Roman Palacios is a San Diego native whose lifelong love of music began at just seven years old\, when a school choir opportunity from his third-grade teacher set him on his vocal journey. After years away from performing\, he found his way to San Diego’s Red Fox Room in 1996\, where he honed his craft alongside pianist and vocalist Shirley Allen and her band. In 1999\, a chance meeting with international tenor Daniel Hendrick introduced Roman to Bel Canto operatic training\, unlocking new dimensions in his vocal ability and launching him into performances at upscale restaurants\, hotels\, and concert venues. Drawing inspiration from icons like Frank Sinatra\, Dean Martin\, Bing Crosby\, and Tony Bennett\, as well as classical greats such as Pavarotti and Caruso\, Roman has developed a warm\, smooth\, and commanding vocal style reminiscent of the golden age of American standards and the Great American Songbook. Since 2009\, he has performed alongside acclaimed jazz pianist Tommy Gannon\, a partnership that began at Via Lago restaurant and has since become one of San Diego’s most sought-after musical pairings\, known for its chemistry\, charisma\, and playful stage presence.
