Exposed to jazz early on by his father\, a local jazz guitarist\, Mikan pursued bigger musical challenges in the early ’90s\, first in New York and later in San Diego. His broad repertoire spans the Great American Songbook\, jazz and blues standards\, classic ballads\, pop\, rhythm & blues\, funk\, Bossa Nova\, and Samba classics. No two performances are ever the same\, as Mikan’s music continues to evolve through his ongoing search for new creative possibilities.
