Mr. Hochfilzer
I wanted to take the time to send you a note on
how you, your staff, and your hotel
accommodations continue to impress us upon every
subsequent visit. Your hotel outdoes places like
Hyatt Manchester, Marriott (San Diego), St.
Regis (Laguna Niegel), La Paloma and Ventana
Canyon (Tucson, AZ), Grand Hyatt (Manhattan),
etc, these are some of my favorite hotels, but
your place outshines them all. No other place I
go to does the valet guy (Jason) know me by
name! No other place I go to does the concierge
(the Indian lady I can never remember her
name) come up to me and give me a hug and say
"welcome back." On my most recent stay (checked
in Thursday night at midnight and checked out on
Sunday night), I was once again impressed with
the outstanding service, for example:
- The fact that Jason in Valet/Shuttle knows
my name is very nice.
- When I picked up room phone and dialed,
the person who answers, without fail, even
if it is not the right department/service,
helped me with my question or request or
whatever I needed, one time I called to have
my car ready, it was the Bell Service, wrong
people, but the gentleman noted my room
number (1886), and said he would take care
of it and he did.
- Professionalism and knowledge of the
Front Desk staff very friendly, very
courteous
- Cleanliness of room everything was in
order as usual.
- Prompt room service and great food
(Mexican Eggs Benedict and Chocolate
Croissant are big hits)
- Free Internet service initially my
wireless card picked up the US Grant
wireless connection I saw that they have
to pay for theirs.
- Ambience of the hotel and staff in
general I took a quick walk around
Coronado, stopped by Hotel del Coronado, it
felt like I was on another planet, the place
was chaotic, not one staff member even said
hello, I have thought about staying there,
but not after experiencing their
Disneyland-like atmosphere.
- When I asked if I could enjoy a cocktail
on the 3rd floor terrace, the bartender in
the Westgate piano bar said "no problem."
- Chocolates and sparkling lemonade in the
room this is a great touch.
- Sunday brunch is awesome, the variety
and quality is amazing and once again the
service is impeccable.
I love how everything is doable at the
Westgate, and it is done with the customer
in mind. I never feel like I am imposing on
anyone or asking for too much, thanks again
for making my stay so memorable and
enjoyable. There are many other incidents
that I should take better care to remember
so I could relay to you, so I am sure I
missed some people, but overall, A+. Please
share with your staff.
Respectfully,
Lawrence G. Beach, Jr.
ps: your sister hotel in Flagstaff is
wonderful as well, I stayed there in April, I
saw some of the same charm and decoration as the
Westgate! |
